ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur organized an ICAR-sponsored 21- day Summer School on “Livelihood and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation through Agroforestry" from 3rd to 23rd August, 2016.

The Summer School was inaugurated by Dr. N. S. Rathore, DDG (Education), ICAR, New Delhi and Dr. L.N. Harsh, former Vice-Chancellor, Agriculture University, Jodhpur delivered a key note address.
45 lectures were delivered on different aspects of agroforestry in relation to climate change adaptation, mitigation and livelihood by various subject experts.
Sh. N. K. Vasu, Director of the Arid Forest Research Institute, Jodhpur was the Chief Guest of the valedictory function on 23rd August, 2016.
A total of 25 participants from different universities and ICAR institutes from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Madya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala states participated in the training programme.
