ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack organized training programme on “Hybrid Rice Production Technology for increasing Productivity” (20-24 September, 2016) to enhance knowledge and skills on hybrid rice production technology. The programme was sponsored by the Government of Uttar Pradesh through the State Institute for Management of Agriculture (SIMA), ATMA, Rehmankhera, Lucknow.
Dr. H. Pathak, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack highlighted the major breakthrough of the institute in rice research in general and hybrid rice research in particular. He hoped the training to the senior officers of the largest rice producing state of the country would further strengthen our position in national food security to fight hunger and malnutrition.
The participants were exposed to various advancements in hybrid rice production technologies through interactive sessions, simulations and field visits
About 28 senior officers namely DDAs (Research), PDs, DPDs, DAOs, SDAEOs and ATMA Project Officers covering all the agro-climatic zones of Uttar Pradesh participated in the traning programme.
