ICAR- Central Institute of Post–Harvest Engineering and Technology, Ludhiana, organised a 3-day state-level training program from 29th-3st January 2024, on Good Storage Practices jointly with Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce (Trading & Development) Co-operative Federation Limited, Raipur. The training aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge related to the storage and handling of minor forest produce.
The participants received comprehensive exposure to crucial topics, including the advancement of packaging systems, insect’s management, basics of good storage and handling, and practices related to cold storage. The participants had the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of good storage practices through theoretical sessions. Additionally, they gained practical knowledge through visits to different godowns and cold storage facilities. The successful completion of this training program not only fosters the exchange of knowledge and expertise but also underscores the commitment towards the sustainable and efficient handling of minor forest produce in Chhattisgarh State.
A total of 80 participants, hailing from various locations within Chhattisgarh State, attended the training sessions.
