ICAR-IISWC organises a 4-month training course

ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun, organised the 126th batch of the 4-month training course on soil and water conservation and watershed management from 08th October 2023 to 07th February 2024.

The Chief Guest for the valedictory session, Dr. Jagmohan Sharma, Director, Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun, emphasised the importance of maintaining the country's food, water, and ecological security. He said that the supply of trained manpower would result in better agricultural practices.

Dr. M. Madhu, Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun, urged the participants to use their knowledge and skills at the grassroots level in their respective states.

Dr. Charan Singh, Head of the Human Resource Development and Social Science Division of the Institute, and other institute officials were present during the programme.

About 23 officer trainees from Kerala, Assam, Punjab, Nagaland, and Meghalaya participated in the programme.
