Training on Good Agricultural and Collection Practices of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants

ICAR-Directorate of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research, Anand, organised a 1-day training programme on Good Agricultural and Collection Practices of medicinal and aromatic plants, in Anand, today.

Dr. Manish Das, Director, ICAR-DMAPR, acknowledged the training programme for interacting with the farmers and discussing various aspects of medicinal and aromatic plant cultivation.

Farmers were provided with farm inputs and leaflets on commercial medicinal and aromatic crops and visited a technology demonstration block, hydro-distillation unit, and herbal garden. The program included lectures on good agricultural practices, organic farming, and post-harvest management of medicinal and aromatic crops.

About 100 farmers including 32 women belonging to the scheduled caste communities from Gujarat attended the programme.
