Capacity-building programme on the scientific Management of poultry

21st-22nd February 2024, Thrissur, Kerala

ICAR- Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa, organised a 1-day training on 'Scientific management of poultry' on 21st-22nd February 2024 under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan, Govt. of India, in collaboration with ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Thrissur, Kerala.

Dr. Udharwar Sanjay Kumar Vithalrao, Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) and Co-Nodal Officer, SCSP, delivered a lecture on scientific feed management in poultry and interacted with the participants to understand the field-level challenges.

Participants were provided with BV-380-layer type birds, feed, cage, and egg collection chambers, and a field visit was organized to monitor their farm activities.

A total of 15 women farmers participated in the programme.
