A five-day skill development programme was organized for the farmers on ‘Natural Resource Management Technologies for Enhancing Income and Livelihood Security’ from 26th February- 1st March 2024 at ICAR-Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture, Hyderabad under SC Sub Plan.
The Chief Guest, Dr. S. K Bal, Director (I/c), ICAR-CRIDA, Hyderabad, highlighted the importance of different rainfed technologies. He urged the need for skill development to enhance productivity.
The Chief Guest for the Valedictory session, Dr. V.K Singh, Director, ICAR-CRIDA, urged the farmers to implement the acquired knowledge in their fields and disseminate it to the neighbouring farmers. Later, the chief guest distributed the certificates to the participants.
Dr. T V Prasad, Nodal Officer, SCSP, briefed the training programme during the valedictory session.
The training covered various aspects of agriculture, including natural resource management, mechanization, drudgery reduction, drone application, crop management, value addition, millet awareness, rainwater management, crop diversification, income enhancement, and livestock role in livelihood security.
