ICAR-ATARI, Guwahati Celebrates International Women's Day

ICAR- Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone VI, Guwahati, organised International Women's Day under the theme Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress. The programme highlighted the need for women's empowerment and progress.

The Chief Guest, Smt. Pallabi Dowerah, Founder, Satyapunu Academy, Bharatnatyam Dancer, and Former Mrs. India Earth Finalist 2018-19, graced the event by sharing her valuable insights on women empowerment.

The Guest of Honour, Er. Abhiprerna Awana, Executive Engineer, Central Public Works Department, showcased her resilience and leadership in traditionally male-dominated fields.

Dr. Vandana Srivastava, Director, Software Technology Parks of India, Guwahati, Dr. G. Kadirvel, Director of ICAR-ATARI, Zone VI, Mr. D.K Jha, Branch Manager of State Bank of India and Dr. Alpana Das, Principal Scientist and In-charge, ICAR- Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Regional Centre, were also present during the programme.

Participants engaged in insightful discussions, sharing experiences and strategies to overcome barriers and foster inclusive growth.
