12th-13th March 2024, Madhya Pradesh
ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur, organized a 2-day training programme from 12th-13th March 2024 for citrus growers of Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh. The training program was organised under the APEDA-sponsored project ‘Capacity Development Programme on Adoption of Good Agriculture Practices for Citrus Farmers’.
The Chief Guest Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Director, ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur, highlighted the importance of selection of land, rootstock, and planting materials for citrus cultivation. Dr. Ghosh encouraged the farmers to adopt a scientific package of practices for citrus cultivation and procure planting materials only from certified nurseries.
Smt. Poonam Kapoor, Regional Head (APEDA), Bhopal, briefed about the APEDA schemes for citrus exporters.
Scientists of ICAR-CCRI guided farmers on various important aspects of citrus cultivation, during the technical session.
A total of 35 trainees participated in the program from Sausar, Pandhurna, and Mohkhed blocks of Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh.
