Training on Meat processing and Entrepreneurship development opportunities in NE India

ICAR- National Meat Research Institute, Hyderabad, organized a training of livestock farmers on ‘Meat processing and Entrepreneurship development opportunities in NE India’ today in collaboration with ICAR-KVK, Karbi Anglong Diphu Nala, Assam. ICAR-MNRI, Hyderabad is actively working in NE India to develop livestock enterprises and meat processing entrepreneurship.

Dr. Subal Maibangsa, Head, ICAR-KVK, Assam highlighted the importance of livestock farming in the region.

Dr. Monuj Doley, SMS, ICAR-KVK, Assam gave an introduction about the training and collaboration. Several women entrepreneurs showed their interest in entering into meat processing and value-addition entrepreneurship.

Different inputs like feed and essential medicines were also distributed during the program.

More than 45 livestock farmers and entrepreneurs were present during the training.
