Entrepreneurship Development Training on the processing of fruits and vegetables organised

An Entrepreneurship Development Training on the processing of fruits and vegetables was organized at village Koti Maychak, Raipur block, Dehradun from 17th-21st February 2025 under the ICAR-NASF Project. The programme was organized in collaboration with the Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Dehradun. 

The experts demonstrated a range of techniques for processing fruits and vegetables. The five-day training program included both lectures and practical sessions on preparing various value-added food products, such as marmalade, pickles, jam and jelly, mixed pickles, and chutneys.

The participants received hands-on training in making these products, equipping them with the skills to prepare them independently. This knowledge will enable them to generate additional income. They were also educated on various standards and localized marketing strategies to help them build a sustainable business.

Dr Indu Rawat, Sr. Scientist, under the guidance of Dr Bankey Bihari, Principal Scientist and CC-PI of the Project, coordinated the programme.

The programme was attended by 25 women of different Self-Help Groups of the various villages under Raipur block.
