Training on innovations in Jute grading organized

The certificate distribution function of the 3-day hands-on training on ‘New Innovations in Jute Grading’ was organised here today.

Dr D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering and Technology, Kolkata, highlighted the newly developed instruments for jute grading. He emphasized the importance of using these tools to assess jute quality accurately and ensure fair pricing. In his address, he also discussed the institute’s efforts in raising awareness, providing training, conducting demonstrations, and establishing grading centers.

Representatives from different Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVKs) of jute growing districts of West Bengal participated in the training.
