Training for cane managers of sugar mills organized at ICAR-IISR, Lucknow

A 15-day National training on Sugarcane Management and Development was organized at ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow on July 01-15, 2017.

Shri V.K. Shukla, Additional Cane Commissioner; Govt. of Uttar Pradesh was Chief Guest in the inaugural function. He appreciated the effort of the Institute in organizing such training especially for the personnel actually engaged in development of sugarcane & sugar sector in the state.

Dr. A.D. Pathak, Director, ICAR-IISR reminded the commitment of the institute for well–being of the sector at National level.

A Compendium of lectures compiled in the form of book titled Sugarcane Production Technology was released in the valedictory function.

About  24 cane managers from Triveni Sugar group, DSCL Sugar, Dalmia sugar, Cooperative sugar mills, Seksaria Sugar, Dwarikesh Sugar, Kesar enterprises of Uttar Pradesh & Harinagar Sugar mill of Bihar have participated in the training programme.
