Training on ‘Design and Manufacturing of Agro Processing Machines’ inagurated

A 21-days CAFT (Centre for Advanced Faculty Training) training programme on “Design and Manufacturing of Agro-Processing Machines” was inaugurated at ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal on 1 August, 2017.

Dr. KK Singh, Director, ICAR-CIAE emphasised that appropriate design considerations and use of design data/ standards are very important for efficient and effective performance of equipment designed for processing of agricultural commodities.  He also said inappropriate post harvest processing and handling is inflicting huge post-harvest losses of commodities.  He informed that CIAE has appropriate facilities, expertise and experience for the benefit of young researchers and teachers. 

Participants from various Agricultural Universities and ICAR Institutes belonging to the disciplines of agricultural processing, post harvest engineering and technologies, agriculture structure, food engineering, fisheries technology etc. are paricipating in this training programme.
