ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal in coordination with HRM Unit, ICAR HQs, conducted five-day training programme on “Automobile Maintenance, Road Safety and Behavioural Skills” for regular Drivers in Technical Grades from ICAR-Institutes/HQs in four batches during February 20-24, March 06-10, July 18-22 and September 19-23, 2017.
Dr. AK Vyas, ADG (HRM), ICAR and Dr. NK Jain, PS (HRM Unit), ICAR briefed about the objectives and purpose of the training programme specially designed for the Drivers from various ICAR-Institutes/HQs,
Shri Bhim Singh, Staff Car Driver (Spl. Grade), ICAR, special invitee, shared his vast experience in discharging the duty as staff car driver for many dignitaries.
A total of 98 Drivers working in different Technical Grades from different ICAR-Institutes and Headquarters were trained. The emphasis was given on developing the skills on minor repair and maintenance of automobiles, basics of road safety guidelines and behavioural skills for effective
communication and right attitude so as to enable the participants to effectively perform their day-to-day work on driving of different kind of vehicles.
