Training and Awareness workshop for CeRA Stakeholders

ICAR-Directorate of Knowledge Management in Agriculture (DKMA) and Informatics publishing Ltd. (J-Gate) jointly organized one-day training and awareness programme for Library Incharges and Nodal Officers, CeRA of ICAR Institutes and SAUs of Northern region.

Dr Manoj Kumar Patairiya, Director, CSIR-NISCAIR, Chief Guest of the event highlighted the importance of scientific communication among various stakeholders and lauded the role of DKMA in extending the e-literature support to scientists through CeRA.

Dr Satendra Kumar Singh, Project Director, DKMA while welcoming the Chief Guest and the participants expressed his concern towards lack of awareness of CeRA facility among faculty and students of many institutes/universities, therefore, suggested to make more efforts for creating awareness among stakeholders for better utilization of this facility.

Sh Sanjay Grover, CEO, Informatics enlisted the various modules developed by informatics along with new features added in J-Gate.

Earlier in his inaugural remarks Sh S K Joshi, Incharge, CeRA emphasized the strengthening of CeRA by enhancing the coordination between stakeholders and also highlighted the ways for getting easy access of online journal through CeRA.

In a brainstorming session under the Chairmanship of Project Director, DKMA was also taken up for understanding & resolving the difficulties/issues faced by member institutions for accessibility of CeRA at their respective organizations.    

Around 30 Nodal officer of CeRA from ICAR institutes/SAUs participated in the training programme.
