Field Day on “Scientific Coconut Cultivation” organized @Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute, Goa and the ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra), North Goa organized the Field Day on “Scientific Coconut Cultivation” at Assonora, Bardez, Goa today. The programme was organized in collaboration with the Pragati Self Help Group, Assonora Village.

Shri H.R.C. Prabhu, Senior Scientist & Head, ICAR-KVK, North Goa briefed about the Scientific Coconut Cultivation which included the varieties, agronomical practices, inter-cropping, pests and diseases management, etc.

Smt. Sunetra Talaulikar, Subject Matter Specialist (Home Science), ICAR-KVK, North Goa, underlined the Virgin Coconut Oil and the other Post-harvest Products.

Smt. Hema Bugde, President, Pragati Self-Help Group proposed vote of thanks.

The programme organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by 30 Farm Women.
