A six-day short term training programme on “Fish Cell Culture Techniques" (12 - 17 February 2018) was inagurated at peninsular Marine Fish Genetic Resources Centre, ICAR National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Kochi on 12th February 2018
Dr. A. Gopalakrishnan, Director, ICAR Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi in his inaugural address briefed about the importance and different applications of cell culture to the participants. He also emphasised on utilisation of available resources in the PMFGR entre for learning the technical programmes on cell culture.
Lectures were delivered various topics i.e disease management in cage aquaculture, viral diseases in marine cage culture and National Repository of Fish Cell Lines (NRFC) at ICAR-NBFGR, Lucknow
A total of 11 participants are attending the training programme from different colleges and research institutes.
