5th April to 4th May, 2019, Rehmankhera
The ICAR-Central Institute for Subtropical Horticulture, Rehmankhera organized 200 hours (1 month) Gardener Training Programme under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKSY), Agriculture Skill Council of India (Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship).
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. S. Rajan, Director, CISH.
During the programme, the trainees were trained in a unique way by Institute's scientists regarding the nursery management, propagation methods in fruit crops, use of plastics in the nursery, planning of the garden and their components, designing of the garden, types and their characteristic etc as per ASCI curriculum.
The Trainees were provided an exposure to the CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow and Janeshwar Mishra Park, Lucknow for the practical knowledge of designing and layout.
A total of 30 trainees from the different Districts of Uttar Pradesh participated in training programme.
