The five day-long Training Programme on “Advances in Applications of Nanotechnology” organized by the ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Mumbai concluded today. The programme was organized from 23rd to 27th September, 2019.
In her Valedictory address, Dr. (Smt.) Sujata Saxena, Head Incharge, Chemical and Biochemical Processing Division, ICAR-CIRCOT emphasized that the inter-disciplinary research in a collaborative mode will help to progress further in applications of nanotechnology.
The main objectives of the training programme were to impart to the trainees with the basics of nanotechnology, synthesis of nano-materials by physical, chemical & biological methods, characterization of nano-materials and their applications in textiles, composites, IPM, food & food packaging, fertilizers and effluent management.
Fourteenth in the series, this self-supporting skill development programme was attended by 21 trainees from various organizations including ICAR, State Agricultural Universities, Colleges, Business-Incubatees & Entrepreneurs.
