Workshop and Exhibition on Empowerment of Scheduled Caste Community

The ICAR-Central Institute of Subtropical Horticulture, Rehmankhera, Lucknow organized a workshop for Scheduled Caste farmers from the various villages of Malihabad Block today. The workshop was organized under the Scheduled Castes Sub Plan.

Dr. Shailendra Rajan, Director, ICAR-CISH emphasized on the role of agricultural technologies and Institutes for the community’s empowerment.

The farmers were provided with the practical knowledge on nutri-garden, cost-effective poultry farming in orchards, cultivation of exotic vegetables, turmeric content in mango orchard, fruits-nursery, etc.

More than 250 farmers participated in the workshop.
