The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management in collaboration with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology (SVPUA&T), Meerut organized the “5th Consultative Workshop on Academia-Industry-Government linkages for Quality Agricultural Education” from 27th to 28th November, 2019.
Dr. R.K. Mittal, Vice-Chancellor, SVPUA&T, Meerut applauded the ICAR-NAARM’s efforts in bringing the 3 pillars responsible for quality agricultural education in the present scenario at one place. These pillars enable the agricultural universities to strengthen their relations with industry and state governments.
Dr. N.K. Taneja, Vice-Chancellor, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut; Dr. Rameshwar Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna; Dr. S.K. Garg, Former Vice-Chancellor, U.P. Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan, Mathura and Dr. A.P. Garg, Vice-Chancellor, Shobhit University, Meerut were also present during the occasion.
The workshop was organized to get the inputs for developing a framework to strengthen the relationship between the three parties, that is, Agricultural Universities, Industry and State Government to improve the quality of Agricultural Education.
The Workshop was organized as a part of the World Bank funded National Agricultural Higher Education Project (NAHEP) Component - 2A.
About 70 participants representing Agricultural Universities, Industry and State Government hailing from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar participated in the workshop.
