Training on "Fish Processing & Value Addition"

ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Cochin organized a 3- day hands on training programme on “Fish Processing & Value addition” for fish co-operative societies from KVK, Washim, Maharashtra during 3-5th Aug 2015. The objective of the traning programme was to  to impart skill based training to the members of cooperatives on various aspects of fish processing technologies related to production of value added quality fish products from freshwater resources and their preservation.

The programme was attended by 10 selected fish farmers representing different fishermen co-operative societies of Washim district joining together to form a  Farmers' Producers Organisation (FPO) registered as Manora Fish Processing Company Ltd. under the sponsorship of NABARD, Washim, Maharashtra and technical support of KVK, Washim, Maharashtra.
