“Farmer’s Sabhagar” at ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur inaugurated

“The newly-created facility would help in training and demonstration of the new Weed Management Technologies developed by the ICAR-Directorate of Weed Research, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh to the farmers and other stakeholders”, said Dr. Panjab Singh, Former Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR). Dr. Singh inaugurated the newly-developed “Farmer’s Sabhagar” at the Directorate’s Farm area today. He also visited the Field Experiments and Laboratory Facilities at the Directorate.

While interacting with the Scientists and other Staff Members, Dr. Singh appreciated the Directorate’s achievements made on the various aspects of Weed Management. The unparalleled growth in agricultural production, despite the COVID-19, that not only made the country self-sufficient in food grain, but also enabled to provide free ration to the rural poor was highlighted by Dr. Singh.

Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Dr. J.S. Mishra, Director, ICAR-DWR, Jabalpur briefed about the Directorate’s achievements.
