Hands-on Training for Farmers on improved agricultural implements and machinery

The ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal organized the “Hands-on Training for Farmers on Improved Agricultural Implements and Machinery” under the Consortia Research Platform on Farm Mechanization and Precision Farming (CRP on FMPF) from 17th to 19th December, 2019.

The participants were briefed on the updates of technologies on the farm mechanization and agro processing during the training. They were also provided with the hands-on-training including the demonstrations of improved agricultural technologies, necessary adjustments as well as visits to the different laboratories to get the exposure of different available agricultural technologies.

The women friendly tools / implements, conservation agriculture machinery and bullock drawn machinery were also demonstrated to the participants. Apart from machinery training, the participants were made aware about the soybean processing plants and their developed products.

Around 78 farmers from two states - Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh participated in the programme.
