The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized one-day Awareness Workshop on “Soft Skills for Entrepreneurship Development” today. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati for 100 Final Year Veterinary and Dairy Technology Students of College of Veterinary Science and College of Dairy Technology, Tirupati.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Y. Hari Babu, Vice-Chancellor, SVVU highlighted the importance of soft skills in the context of agri-preneurship.
Dr. K. Sarjan Rao, Dean of Student Affairs, SVVU presided over the inaugural session of the workshop.
Dr. D. Thammi Raju, Co-PI, NAHEP Component - 2A briefed about the NAHEP Component - 2A activities for the entrepreneurship development among the agri-graduates.
Dr. R.V. Suresh Kumar, Professor and University Head (Radiology & Surgery), CVSc, Tirupati coordinated the workshop.
The main objective of the workshop was to create the awareness among the agri-graduates on soft skills, innovativeness and entrepreneurship.
The faculties of 26 Universities were trained as master trainers by the ICAR-NAARM for organizing these workshops targeting 3,000 students.
