Training Programme on Koha for Library Staff of ICAR concludes at ICAR-NAARM

The six-day Capacity Building Training Programme on “Koha for Library Staff of ICAR” organized by the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized from 20^th to 25^th February, 2020 concluded today.

In his valedictory address, Dr. S.K. Soam, Director, ICAR-NAARM urged the participants to continue the practice of implementing their acquired knowledge in “Koha - Library Management Software” for strengthening the libraries of ICAR Institutions.  This, in turn, will result in providing digital access of the libraries to the staff members.

The trainees were exposed to introduction of Linux; installation of Ubuntu, Koha software; theoretical and practical aspects on various modules of Koha, such as, Administration, Acquisition, Patrons, Cataloguing, Circulation, Serials, OPAC, Reports and Tools, etc.

A total of 19 participants from different parts of the country participated in the programme representing 11 states and 13 ICAR Research Institutes from across the country.
