ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai conducts Training Programme on “Cotton Grading and Procurement” for Agricultural Officers of Government of Maharashtra

circot-01-13052020The ICAR-Central Institute for Research in Cotton Technology, Mumbai conducted the training programme for the cotton farmers for procuring the unsold cotton from them before the onset of the monsoon. The programme has been organized keeping in view the prevalence of the deadliest Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19).

The 1st Batch of 5 days training programme on cotton grading and procurement has been started from today at the Ginning Training Centre of ICAR-CIRCOT, Nagpur.

Around 29 Agricultural Officers from 4 Districts of Maharashtra namely - Nagpur, Latur, Parbhani and Nanded are undergoing the training.

The training programme has been organized under the expert guidance and support of Dr. K. Alagusundaram, Deputy Director General (Engineering), ICAR and Dr. S.N. Jha, ADG (PE). Dr. K. Singh, ADG (FE); Dr. P.G. Patil, Director, ICAR-CIRCOT along with other senior officials of the Institute have played a vital role in the planning and execution of the training programme for the cotton farmers’ benefits.
