Virtual Training Programme on “Analysis of Experimental Data Using R” concludes at ICAR-NAARM

The six-day Virtual Training Programme on “Analysis of Experimental Data using R” from 5^th to 11^th August, 2020 organized by the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad concluded today.

Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM applauded the participants’ interests in the course. Dr. Rao stressed on the importance of analyzing data properly for arriving at meaningful conclusions.

From basic experimentations in agricultural research to visualizing, analyzing data from experimental data using the various statistical tools were covered under the course. An emphasis was given on interpretation of results using datasets related to agricultural experiments. The course also covered some advanced tools, such as, Response Surface Methodology.

The training programme was aimed at improving the data analytics skills of scientists of the National Agricultural Research and Education System.

A total of 168 participants (106 from ICAR, 58 from State Agricultural Universities and 4 from other Government / Private Industries) out of 200 successfully completed the course.
