Virtual Training Programme on “Accrual Accounting” concludes at ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack

NRRI-Cuttack-012021.jpgThe three-day Virtual Training Programme on “Accrual Accounting” organized by the ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Odisha from 12th to 14th January, 2021 concluded today.

Dr. D. Maiti, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack, Odisha stressed on the need to develop professionals amongst the Finance & Accounts Officers and Administrative Officers in the ICAR system.

Dr. G.P. Sharma, Director, Finance, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi; Shri S.K. Pathak, Comptroller, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh; Smt. Sunita Arya, Chief Finance & Accounts Officer, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan and other resource persons virtually interacted with the participants during the training programme.

The most basic and advanced levels of Accrual Accounting like Principles and Concepts, Accounting Standards, preparation of Final Accounts, Depreciation & Reserves, Bank Reconciliation Statement, Significant Accounting Policies, Computerised Accounting, Audit Report of on Annual Account of ICAR, etc., were discussed during the programme.

The First Batch of Virtual Training Programme was aimed at enriching the knowledge and enhancing competency of the finance and other officers working in the ICAR Institutes and Headquarters.

A total of 45 Assistant Finance & Accounts Officers, Finance & Accounts Officers, Senior Finance & Accounts Officers and other Officers from 37 ICAR Institutes and Headquarters virtually participated in the programme.
