Entrepreneurial Training on Horticultural Nursery Organized

The 3-day Entrepreneur Training Programme on “Starting a Horticultural Nursery” organized by the ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna, Bihar from 17^th to 19^th May, 2021 concluded today.

While interacting with the trainees, Dr. Ujjwal Kumar, Director, ICAR-RCER, Patna highlighted the scope of nursery business in the country. Dr. Kumar encouraged the participants for starting the Horticulture Nursery Business.

The participants were apprised about the various new avenues in nursery business in the horticulture sector. The nursery raising of various kinds of horticultural crops like fruits, vegetables, shade-loving indoor plants, medicinal and aromatic plants, etc., their disease pest management and marketing strategies were discussed during the programme.

The programme was aimed at providing the basic knowledge for starting a Horticulture Nursery Business.

The programme registered participation by more than 160 Stakeholders including Entrepreneurs, Students, Horticulturist and KVK Personnel from across the country.
