ICAR-NAARM organizes Virtual Training Programme on “Advances in Extension Research and Evaluation Methodology”

The ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized the Training Programme on “Advances in Extension Research and Evaluation Methodology” from 23^rd August to 1^st September, 2021.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension), ICAR stressed on the need of extension research in the present scenario. Developing the sound methods and models to help the field functionaries in effective delivery of extension services was emphasized in the DDG’s address.

In his address, Dr.Ch Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad highlighted the need for a rigorous approach in advancing the extension of science. Dr. also urged for looking into the mechanics of conducting extension research.

In his valedictory address, Dr. Bharat S. Sontakki, Head, Extension Systems Management, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad provided the insight towards the way forward in extension research.

The programme was aimed at developing the critical abilities of extension professionals to conduct quality research and evaluation.

A total of 37 selected participants including Researchers, Teachers and Development Professionals in Extension in Agriculture and Allied Disciplines from 15 States of the country participated in the programme.
