The a-IDEA, Technology Business Incubator of ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organized a one-day Sensitization-cum-Awareness Programme on “Entrepreneurship Education in Agriculture and Allied Sectors for Students of RVSKVV, Gwalior” to encourage them for Agri-preneurship today.
In his address, the Chief Guest, Dr. Surapaneni Koteshwara Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh urged the students for reorienting their mind-sets in sync with the Prime Ministers’ Start-Up Programme.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad highlighted the importance of bringing sustainable value for the crops grown by the Indian farmers in the global scenario. The biggest challenges faced by the farmers in marketing and price fluctuation and Agri-preneurship promotion that provide the solution for stability of prices was also underlined by Dr. Rao.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Dr. N.A. Vijay Avinashilingam, Additional C.E.O., a-IDEA, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad outlined the importance of Agri Start-Ups and the process of Incubation.
Shri Amandeep Panwar, Executive Director & C.E.O., Bharat Rohan Airborne Innovations Private limited, an Entrepreneur in Decision Support System also shared his experiences of turning his idea into a successful Start-Up.
The Programme organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by about 111 students and faculty members of the ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad and RVSKVV, Gwalior.
