The three-day Technical Seminar on “Feeding and Semen Quality Management in Breeding Bulls for the Officers of Nandini Sperm Station of Karnataka Milk Federation” organized by the ICAR-National Institute of Animal Nutrition and Physiology, Bengaluru, Karnataka from 21st to 23rd September, 2021 concluded today.
In his valedictory address, Dr. Raghavendra Bhatta, Director, ICAR-NIANP, Bengaluru stressed on the need for translating the research advances in semen biology and quality assessment to Field Stations to improve the conception and fertility rate.
In his address, Dr. B. Mallikarjuna, Director, Nandini Sperm Station outlined the importance of optimum nutrition for breeding bulls. He also emphasized on the relevance of adopting novel techniques of semen quality assessment.
The participants were also provided with the Visit-cum-Demonstration at the Institute’s Reproductive Physiology laboratory and Fodder Production Unit during the occasion.
A total of 17 Officers participated in the Seminar.
