Field Training on “Soil & Water Conservation and Watershed Management” for I.F.S. Probationers concludes at ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun

The Field Training on “Soil & Water Conservation and Watershed Management” organized by the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Dehradun, Uttarakhand for the I.F.S. Probationers from 4th to 11th October, 2021 concluded today. The programme was organized in association with the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

In his valedictory address, Dr. M. Madhu emphasized on using the land as per its capability and treating it according to its limitation. He regarded the community organization as an important part of the watershed.

Dr. Bharat Jyoti, Director, IGNFA, Dehradun, Uttarakhand urged for addressing the different components of watershed management in such a way that the required attention is given to each component.

A total of 58 I.F.S. Officers including 2 Trainees from Bhutan participated in the programme.
