The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil & Water Conservation, Dehradun, Uttarakhand virtually organized a “Sensitization Workshop on ARMS and Monthly Reporting in ICAR Institutions” today.

In his address, Dr. Anil Rai, ADG (ICT), ICAR outlined about the Portal of Agricultural Research Management System (ARMS) as an online system for updating the research, training, demonstration, achievements and impacts made by the individual Scientists and the Institutes for providing the information to the various levels of hierarchy within the ICAR System and beyond. Dr. Rai emphasized that the system aims at facilitating the information flow directly from the Researchers and Research Institutes to the ICAR and as inputs to the other National Dashboards like NITI Aayog for planning and strategizing the development in the country.
Dr. M. Madhu, Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun highlighted the importance of ARMS for effective documentation and communicating the achievements, technological details and success stories, etc., appropriately.
The Workshop organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by over 700 participants from over 100 ICAR Research Institutes located across the country.
