20 - 26 October 2021, Puttur
The ICAR-Directorate of Cashew Research, Puttur, Karnataka organized the Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Training Programme on “Value-added products from Fruits & Vegetables” from 20th to 26th October, 2021.

In her inaugural address, Dr. Anitha Karun, Director, ICAR-DCR, Puttur highlighted the importance of imparting the skills & knowledge and empowering the people for self-employment. Dr. Karun underlined the Main objective of the training programme that was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence and the declaration of the Year - 2021 as the “International Year of Fruits and Vegetables” by the UN General Assembly.
Dr. P. Muralidharan, Head, ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Alappuzha, Kerala briefed about the KVK’s various activities and the impacts of the various training programmes.
Around 12 Rural Youths attended the programme.
