Skill Training Programme of Rural youths (STRY) on “Commercial Poultry Farming” organized

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Washim, Maharashtra in collaboration with the MANAGE, Hyderabad has organized the one-week Residential Skill Training of Rural Youths on “Commercial Poultry Farming” from 16th to 22nd December, 2021.

Inaugurating the programme, the Chief Guest, Dr. Bhuwaneshwar Borkar, District Deputy Commissioner Animal Husbandry, Government of Maharashtra expressed his concerns about the improper planning in the livestock management for livelihood security. He also encouraged the participants for coming forward to ensure their livelihood security.

The Guest of Honor, Dr. B.D. Gite, Incharge Agricultural Research Station, Washim encouraged the rural youths for Agri-preneurship. He also urged them to be cautious about the impacts of climate change on agriculture and livestock.

Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, S.K. Deshmukh, Nodal Officer, NTI-KVK, Washim briefed about the need and importance of skill teaching. He also stressed that the training will help to create a pool of skilled manpower for managing the allied enterprises in a scientific way.
