The five-day Awareness-cum-Training Programme on “Crop Residue Management through Climate Smart Agriculture Practices” organized by the ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana from 27th to 31st December, 2021 concluded today.
Earlier, delivering the inaugural address, Dr. P.C. Sharma, Director, ICAR-CSSRI, Karnal highlighted the issues and adaptation strategies to manage the crop residue through smart agriculture practices. Dr. Sharma also urged the farmers for adopting the Institute’s proven technologies to enhance the productivity of the salt-affected soils.
A total of 52 Soil Health Cards were distributed to the Scheduled Caste Farmers during the occasion.
The programme registered participation by 148 Scheduled Caste Farmers (including 74 Women).
