The six-day Training Programme on “Doubling Farmers' Income with Integrated Farming Systems under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan Programme" organized by the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Palem, Nagarkurnool District from 4th to 6th and 10th to 12th January, 2022, respectively concluded today.

The programme was organized in collaboration with the Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Telangana for the farmers of 3 Villages, viz., Vanguronipally, Kulmulonipally and Agraharam Potlaplly from two Districts - Mahbubnagar and Nagarkurnool of Telangana State.
In his inaugural address, the Chief Guest, Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad apprised the farmers about the ways to double their income by using the different “Integrated Farming System Technologies” based on the availability of resources with them.
The Guest of Honor during the inaugural session, Dr. Damodar Raju, ADR, RARS, Palem stressed on the need for preserving the natural resources by adopting the Integrated Farming System.
In his address, Dr. M. Balakrishnan, Chairman, Sub Plan Committee, ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad briefed the farmers about the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan Programme.
Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, PC, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Palem highlighted the farmers' role in the nation building.
Earlier, Dr. M. Venkata Ramana, Principal Scientist (Agronomy) & University Head, All India Coordinated Research Project on Integrated Farming Systems, PJTSAU, Hyderabad delivered the welcome address.
A total of 90 farmers were trained during the programme.
