18 - 19 February, 2022, Bankura
The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata Centre organized the Skill Development Training Programme on “Aquaculture Technologies as Livelihood Options” from 18th to 19th February, 2022. The programme was organized under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan Programme for 100 Fish Farmers at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, WBCADC, Sonamukhi, Bankura, West Bengal.
Dr. G.H. Pailan, Principal Scientist & Officer Incharge, ICAR-CIFE, Kolkata Centre underlined the main objective of the programme. The production techniques of fish carp seed and scientific nursery management were underlined by Dr. Pailan. He also stressed on the importance of feed and low-cost quality feeding strategies in the Aquaculture.
Dr. S. Munilkumar, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFE apprised the beneficiaries with the idea of advances in the Aquaculture techniques and soil, water & disease management.
The Institute distributed the quality Fish Feed, Lime, Container for Harvesting, Cast Net, pH Water Testing Kits and Dissolved Oxygen Testing Kit to 100 Scheduled Caste Fish Farmers of the District.
