Awareness Programme on “Bamboo cultivation” organized @Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav

The ICAR-Central Coastal Agricultural Research Institute and ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Goa organized the Awareness Programme on “Bamboo Cultivation” to celebrate the “Kisan Bhagidari, Prathmikta Hamari” Campaign here today.

In his address, Shri H.R.C. Prabhu, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK, North Goa highlighted the importance of Bamboo Cultivation in Goa.

Dr. Muralidhara Rao, Musa Gene Tech, Mangalore underlined the scope and future prospects of the commercial cultivation of the tissue cultured Bamboo to enhance the farmers’ income.

The Programme organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence registered participation by 42 participants.
