The ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack, Odisha and ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi organized the Workshop-cum-Demonstration Programme on “Drone Technology in Agriculture” here today. The Workshop was organized under the ICAR-Network Program on Precision Agriculture (NePPA).


Dr. P. Swain, Director, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack presided over the function.
The participants were provided with the demonstration of Drones with the different payload capacities along with using the Drones for data collection using the multi and hyper-spectral sensors installed on the drones and data visualization.
The Scientists from the various ICAR Institutes, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Personnel and Farmers shared their thoughts and queries about the use of the Drone Technology for the agricultural purposes.
Dr. Rahul Tripathi, Principal Investigator, NePPA from ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack proposed the vote of thanks.
Around 100 participants attended the Programme, including the Scientists from ICAR Institutes
