National Conference on “कोविड-19 जनित परिस्थितियों में देश के आर्थिक विकास एवं आत्मनिर्भरता में कृषि अभियांत्रिकी की भूमिका” organized

The ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh virtually organized a National Conference on कोविड-19 जनित परिस्थितियों में देश के आर्थिक विकास एवं आत्मनिर्भरता में कृषि अभियांत्रिकी की भूमिका from 28th to 29th July, 2021.

Outlining the ICAR’s contributions in the challenging times of COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management & Agricultural Engineering), ICAR stated that the modernization of agriculture through engineering interventions provided self-sufficiency in food and helped the country in maintaining the economic growth.

Dr. S.N. Jha, ADG (Process Engineering), ICAR accentuated that the Conference would certainly provide a big ground to THE academia, scientists, researchers and research scholars by sharing their experiences and results on the various aspects of agricultural engineering technologies for building-up the sustainable solutions.

Dr. Kanchan K. Singh, ADG (Farm Engineering), ICAR also participated in the Conference.

National Conference on “कोविड-19 जनित परिस्थितियों में देश के आर्थिक विकास एवं आत्मनिर्भरता में कृषि अभियांत्रिकी की भूमिका” organized

The Chief Guest of the valedictory ceremony, Dr. Nawab Ali, Former Deputy Director General (Agricultural Engineering), ICAR underlined the importance and utility of food processing. He stressed on adopting the proper eating habits, suitable diet plans and appropriate food processing to efficiently deal with the current COVID-19 Pandemic situation.

In his address, Dr. R.K. Singh, ADG (Commercial Crops), ICAR highlighted the importance and role of agricultural engineering in handling the country’s economy under the COVID-19 Pandemic situation.

Dr. C.R. Mehta, Director, ICAR-CIAE, Bhopal, Madhya underlined the main objectives of the Conference and regarded it as an important forum for discussing and exploring the practical challenges that would emerge in the Post COVID-19 scenarios in the field of agricultural engineering.

More than 150 Officials from the academic and scientific backgrounds from the ICAR Institutes, State Agricultural Universities, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Farm Machinery Manufacturers from the different regions of the country virtually participated in the Conference.

The Conference was organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence.
