The ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and the State Institute of Agricultural Extension & Training (SIAET), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh have jointly organized the four-day Virtual Training Programme on “Soil Health Management” from 27th to 30th July, 2021.
In his inaugural address, Dr. Ashok K Patra, Director, ICAR-IISS, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh emphasized on the significance of soil for the crop production, animal & human health and overall sustainability of the ecosystem. Dr. Patra also regarded the soil health as a key component for enhancing the crop productivity for doubling the farmers’ income.

Shri K.P. Ahirwar, Director, SIAET, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh also graced the inaugural session.
Around 40 Officials from the different parts of Madhya Pradesh virtually participated in the inaugural ceremony of the programme.
The training programme has been organized as a part of the “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 Years of India’s Independence.
