A field day cum farmer’s interaction meet was organized at Betqui village of Ponda Taluke, South Goa under the Scheduled Caste Sub Plan, Govt. of India.
During the meeting, farmers’ problems with coconut farming and fisheries activities were discussed. The coconut dehusking devices reduce drudgery and increase safety while dehusking coconut fruits in a safe and user-friendly manner.
21 coconut dehusking devices were distributed to 8 women, and scientists provided scientific and technical support for Betqui village's farming community in agriculture and fisheries.
A total of 21 beneficiaries attended the programme and participated in the deliberations.
