ICAR-CIFE Kolkata organises TSP Program on Zero-waste utilization of fish

8th-10th January 2024, Arunachal Pradesh

The ICAR-Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Kolkata, organised a three-day entrepreneurship-cum-skill development training program at Koloriang town, Itanagar in collaboration with KVK, Chomi, Kurung Kumey, Arunachal Pradesh, on Zero-waste utilization of fish, under the TSP plan from 08-10th January, 2024.

Dr. C.N. Ravishankar, Director & Vice-Chancellor, ICAR-CIFE, Mumbai, attended the programme.

Fish farmers and small scale food processing entrepreneurs were given training on the preparation of value added products like fish cutlets, fish fingers, fish balls, fish pickles and fish soup. Demonstration was given to the fish farmers on how to convert processing discards such as scale, viscera into silage, and useful products which can be used as animal feed ingredients or plant nutrients.
