ICAR-NAARM celebrates its 48thFoundation Day

ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management celebrated its 48th foundation day to commemorate the establishment of the institution and to reflect on its achievements and contributions to the field of agricultural research and management.

Dr. J C Katyal, Former DDG (Education) and Former Director, of ICAR-NAARM was the Chief guest. He highlighted the importance of ICAR-NAARM in human resource management and research to enhance manpower in the national agricultural research and education system. He emphasized the need for multidisciplinary, multi-institutional, and multi-agency collaborations to overcome challenges and transform research outcomes into innovations. Further, he also asserted that interaction with stakeholders is necessary when establishing research goals and objectives to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and adoption of scientific findings.

Dr. Ch Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, highlighted the academy's achievements and innovations. He acknowledged the efforts of the NAARM staff's commitment to research, innovation, and resource generation. He highlighted expanded capacity building programs, off-campus trainings, think-tank research policy papers in emerging aspects of Indian agriculture, achieving 100% placements for PGDM-ABM students, and high-impact achievements in a-IDEA and Technology Business Incubator.

ICAR-NAARM has continued as an intellectual hub of ICAR and released three impactful policy papers on this occasion. Chief guest presented awards for the best innovative farmer, emerging FPO, best start-up, best print and media, and best PG student.

Scientists, admin, technical, finance, project, and contractual staff of ICAR-NAARM, PGDM-ABM students, and 113 FOCARS scientist probationers participated in the foundation day program.
