ICAR-NCIPM inks MOU with LT Foods for popularization of Sustainable Farming Practices (SRP) in Rice

ICAR- National Research Centre for Integrated Pest Management, New Delhi and LT Foods Ltd. signed a MOU on August 11, 2023 for capacity building and popularization of Sustainable Farming Practices (SRP) in rice.

Dr. Subhash Chander, Director ICAR-NCIPM On this Occasion  expressed that ICAR-NCIPM is glad to collaborate with LT Foods Ltd., towards a step of equipping farming communities with the knowledge and tools they need to transition to sustainable farming practices.

Dr Monika C. Jaggi, Head of ESG, LT Foods Ltd said LT Foods Ltd. aims to integrate sustainability across company operations which collaboration with ICAR is an incremental effort to step-up and promote sustainable farming practices in the country.

Dr Mukesh Sehgal, Principal Scientist and Principal investigator of the project reiterated that partnership reflects our shared commitment to spread good agricultural practices, promoting environmental stewardship and securing a prosperous future.

 The collaboration aims to reach 10,000 farmers of Haryana and Punjab under the project “Bridging the gap between conventional & Sustainable Rice Production through Integrated Crop Management: An Outreach programme”.

During the meeting the extension material for achieving this goal was also released and Scientists of ICAR-NCIPM and representatives from LT foods were also present.
