- Disease monitoring in aquaculture systems through National Surveillance Programme for Aquatic Animal Diseases (NSPAAD) involving 24 organizations in 15 states and one Union Territory of India (West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Assam, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, J & K, Bihar and Andaman & Nicobar Islands) covering over 100 districts.

- Human resource development through post-graduate (both PG and Ph.D.) programmes in different disciplines in aquaculture and fisheries, and capacity building of fishers, fish farmers, fisheries officials and entrepreneurs through need-based training.
